Very good location to reach the many well-known destinations in the area, the Wimbach Bridge can be reached in 10 minutes on foot. Very spacious, clean rooms and clean bathroom. Delicious, varied breakfast, everything your heart desires. In-house restaurant with very good regional dishes. Very friendly landlady and also very friendly staff.

Dear Altes Forsthaus team, we would like to take this opportunity to say thank you again for this wonderful week with you. We have been treated almost like kings. The breakfast is delicious and very varied, at regular intervals you will be asked whether everything fits. So also at dinner, in the in-house restaurant it is important to use local things, everything is freshly prepared here, of course. The rooms were clean and were cleaned every day, if you wanted you got new towels. The previously written COVID-19 rules are also complied with: Mouthguards are compulsory throughout the house, the tables and menu are disinfected immediately after use. Attention is also paid to the distances. The food is amazing, we felt like we drove home with 10kg more. Dear team, dear family Heinrich we will be back.

We stayed in the old forester's house in Ramsau for 1 week on recommendation. What can we say: it was perfect. The owners and the team are friendly, honest people. The room was always clean, comfortable and the mattresses were very good. The breakfast was always great and varied. All wishes are dealt with here. The dinner was always so delicious that we didn't eat anywhere else in the evening. It was a great week all round. We are already looking forward to our next visit. Thanks again to the whole team. You're great!!

Very warm & respectful landlady, who always has an open ear for questions & requests & responds flexibly. Our room was very spacious (as was the bathroom) including a balcony with a beautiful view, perfect clean and in excellent condition. Breakfast really great, nothing is missing, every day with small variations = perfect! We didn't like the dinner in the pub that much, it seemed as if everything wasn't freshly prepared, but the price level was a bit too high. All in all, however, (also because of the location) a perfect base for hikers and active vacationers, you just feel good here!

I spent a very pleasant week there. The rooms were very clean and the service was always friendly and very warm. Price-performance is definitely right here! If someone lives elsewhere in Ramsau and wants to eat delicious food in the evening, the restaurant / beer garden is recommended.

A really nice inn! We have been coming here since childhood and whether summer or winter there is always something to do in the area. From the old forest house you have a great starting point in all directions. The staff is super nice and courteous. Price-performance ratio is definitely right here!
